This individual will support customer initiatives/strategies including sales training, customer engagement, Sales Advantage Mobile (SAM), Management Processes and Procedures, and the Management Trainee Program. They will develop, coordinate, and deliver customer engagement initiatives and partner with sales leadership and management to create and provide classroom, e-learning, and blended learning solutions. This individual will assess sales training and sales development needs, and work in a team environment to provide high-impact training programs aligned to organizational core values, stakeholder engagement philosophy, business strategy, customer engagement programs, and individual and sales team learning needs.
Specific Duties Include:
Customer Engagement & Sales
Assess ongoing customer engagement and sales development needs, in consultation with leadership and sales management, and recommend training strategies to meet those needs. Align sales training strategies to organizational core values, stakeholder philosophy, business needs, customer engagement program, and organizational learning strategy.
Partner in a team environment to develop customer engagement and sales training courses and programs, including concept design, materials development (including Learner and Facilitator guides), and implementation; proactively schedule training sessions in collaboration with Organizational Development and field timelines.
Partner with sales subject matter experts to deliver applicable training.
Recommend external sales training resources and vendors to meet the needs of the field and support sales management.
Partner with Employee Relations team members to develop and support a sales onboarding and career path program.
Partner with Organizational Development team members to develop sales learning plans for new and experienced sales professionals.
Continually assess and communicate return on equity of organizational sales training programs. Track sales team training progress and monitor the effectiveness of training and transfer of learning to job performance.
Assist the Salesforce Automation team in the development of Sales Advantage Mobile (SAM) training, utilizing multiple delivery methods to best meet the needs of each stakeholder.
Coordinate with Market Database Analyst to understand customer demographics and data and utilize this information in assessment and development of recommendations and strategies.
Assist in the planning and coordination of company Sales Conference event, including developing of sales curriculum.
Coordinate logistical needs of sales training events, communications, and venues.
Determine the appropriate instructional methods and corresponding curriculum, learner guides, materials, and activities, utilizing adult learning and multiple learning methods (including classroom, e-learning, and blending learning methodologies) for assigned training or program initiatives.
Collaborate with Aftermarket Operations Consultant to communicate, schedule, plan, and deliver Management Processes and Procedures (MPP) training.
Create MPP e-learning courses with assessments.
Coordinate the organizational Management Trainee Program (MTP) and ongoing rotations, including planning, scheduling, communication, implementation, and assessment.
Assist in the planning, communicating, scheduling, development, and delivery of e-learning, systems training, and technical writing programs.
Professionally facilitate and present interactive and objective-driven learning solutions.
Provide timely information and follow up to field managers. Pro-actively communicate with team members at all levels of the organization.
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
5+ years of training experience with demonstrated success in a sales and organizational training role, including assessment, communication, scheduling and planning, development, implementation, and delivery.
Demonstrated ability to successfully develop curriculum and training programs for adult learners using e-learning or instructor led formats.
Thorough knowledge and application of adult learning and instructional design concepts and processes.
Successful experience training/facilitating individuals and groups.
High level of professionalism and effective facilitation/presentation skills.
Ability to effectively utilize multiple methodologies, including classroom instruction, e-learning, and blending learning applications.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to deliver engaging and effective sessions with measurable outcomes.
Ability to apply a creative and innovative approach to sales training needs.
Ability to effectively plan, schedule, and implement logistics for training sessions.
Able to carry out assigned projects to completion with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively use technology for training, time management, and communication.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner to achieve goals and objectives, working in a team environment.
Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills—flexible in working with a variety of people
Proficient in the use of Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/Internet/Net Meeting.
Ability to travel overnight (approximately 25%)
