Kitchen Leaders play an integral role in ensuring that every customer receives an uncompromising food experience. This involves ensuring that quality ingredients are used and that the customer is always served in a fast, friendly, and consistent manner by following Zoës recipes, portions and plate presentation.
The Kitchen Leader performs the basic duties of the kitchen staff while overseeing daily kitchen operations, leading by example and upholding The Zoës Way standards.
Candidates must have prior restaurant and/or culinary experience and considerable knowledge of the methods and practices of food preparation and service. He or she must be able to effectively train and motivate a diverse kitchen staff. A passion for food and the restaurant business is a must! Our 100% fresh kitchen is challenging and very hands on, yet the fast-paced culture remains fun and energetic.
· Full knowledge of all Zoës recipes and portion sizes
· Full knowledge of all BOH practices and procedures
· Knowledge of all applicable restaurant food health and safety laws, rules and regulations
· Ability to provide helpful, constructive feedback to help others meet job standards
Must possess a keen sense of taste and smell. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 50 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
Works with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment typical of a restaurant kitchen. Hours will vary in accordance with business necessity, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
