Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Astronomy, Physics, Planetary Science, or related fields at the start of the post-doctoral researcher position. Previous experience in studies of astrophysical transients associated with black holes or neutron stars
and reduction of data from space-based observatories are both helpful, but applicants who have emphasized theoretical interpretation of observations should also apply. Most important is the willingness to take on new projects, learn new skills, and work independently
to bring these projects to fruition.
