Position requires knowledge of the concepts, theories, principles and practices of general and contract accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a government contract environment. Knowledge of the FAR and CAS principles that govern financial
transactions under government contracts required. Must be familiar with the development of indirect rates. Must be skilled in the use of a personal computer and software packages, i.e., Excel, MS Word, Access, etc. A working knowledge of data management and
analysis tools and automated data processing systems is desirable, i.e., Costpoint.
Ability to independently perform the tasks outlined in the basic duties and to organize, analyze, interpret, and evaluate programmatic, staffing and cost data necessary. Ability to autonomously perform a wide variety of financial, administrative and technical
duties requiring initiative, independent judgment and creative effort. Must have excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to write clearly and succinctly. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with scientific, technical,
and administrative staff required. Must maintain confidentiality of material.
Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field is required. A minimum of two years of experience in accounting, financial analysis or a cost estimating position is required.
