Red Wing Shoes is launching a formal Data Quality/Data Governance program. The Data Quality Lead will be one of the first roles in support of this and will help to begin establishing a foundation, by driving the initial establishment of the Data Governance program and software solutions needed to enable this capability.

Position Summary:
The Data Quality Lead is responsible for oversight and creation of Data Quality/Data Governance (DQ/DG) practices and frameworks. They assist in enabling this capability across the organization by working cross functionally to ensure Data Quality and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions add value to the business, and established processes are followed.
Experience, Knowledge and Abilities
Requirements Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree 5-7 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must also have a minimum of 7 years of experience writing technical requirements, 3-5 years of experience with process documentation and depiction of data linage, experience working with data/master data, and experience writing moderately complex SQL queries.

Candidates must have a passion for data quality and a vision of its impact on the business; Good understanding of business process, with the capability to translate future business needs into intelligent and actionable Master Data, including the ability to envision downstream impacts of decisions and actions made at a data level; Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to present technical information in a manner that is easily understood by the intended audience; Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to forge partnerships, work well in cross-functional teams and drive change across the organization; Strong project management skills including planning, organizational, time management, and follow-up; Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically when approaching problem solving

Candidates should be knowledgeable in areas such as Data Warehouse and Data Modeling concepts, Master Data Management (MDM) best practices and strategies, and have familiarity of one or more MDM and Data Quality Solutions. Knowledge of Business-to-Business, Business-to-Consumer, item/product, vendor, and marketing domains a plus.
