Title Supply Chain Finance Manager

The Supply Chain Finance Manager will partner closely with Supply Chain operations to achieve superior financial results and cost reductions in the Global Supply chain. The position is responsible for Supply Chain financial reporting and inventory accounting. Will collaborate cross functionally to lead and provide decision support for inventory and product creation activities; as well as provide support to execute corporate strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the month end close process for areas of responsibility. Ensure internal controls, accounting policies and procedures are effective. Act as the subject matter expert for inventory policy for the global enterprise.
• Develop standard reporting packages to communicate results, drivers and KPI’s for the business to aid in decision support.
• Creation of analysis and meaningful financial metrics to gauge the financial effectiveness of decisions and actions.
• Partner with the Product Creation team, providing cost assumptions, financial analysis and decision support to drive investment decisions.
• Lead the development of the quarterly forecasts and annual budget for Supply Chain.
• Lead the annual standard cost roll for all manufactured and sourced products.
• Coordinate external audit requests, providing analysis as required to support manufactured and sourced costs and inventory valuation. Coordinate physical inventories and monitor cycle count activities. Calculate the LIFO reserve.
• Develop financial modeling methodologies to focus on Supply Chain and Product Development strategies.
• Advise management on financial impact of various alternatives and recommend preferred course of action around business initiatives and processes.
• Support the capital investment approval and forecasting process. Research and provide analytical review and support of cost justifications for Supply Chain investments and cost improvement initiatives. Make recommendations based on analysis.
• Collaborate with Business Technology on financial systems, in addition to coordinating with IT to drive solutions for reporting improvements, ERP capability and ensure implementation of requisite system changes to support the business unit’s needs.
• Lead or participate cross-functionally on projects that deliver BU growth, continuous improvement, or compliance. Establish project teams and plans, assign responsibilities and facilitate meetings to ensure goal attainment.
• Leverage strengths of the Supply Chain Finance team, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop training in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals. Support a high performing culture with an enterprise mindset and best practice focus.
• Responsible for clearly communicating department strategy to SC Finance team; providing feedback regarding tactical operations for department including goal setting, and managing performance; following organization’s policies and applicable legal requirements; and monitoring performance to successful results; communicating strategy cross functionally for proper goal alignment
Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in Accounting or a related field from an accredited College or University
• Previous experience in public accounting required
• CPA or CMA designation preferred
• 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience with progressive responsibility
• Experience with new product costing, gross margin analysis and decision support
• Experience in process improvements, financial reporting and analysis, fluent in spreadsheets and modeling

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP with heavy experience with inventory and costing
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Active listening skills are equally important
• Demonstrated analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing organizational needs
• Excellent project management skills, organizational skills, communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team
• Ability to work collaboratively with all departments and management levels, providing decision support within the company and outside partners
• Strong initiative to lead projects, explore alternatives and implement recommendations
• Must be able to drive results and manage multiple priorities
• Desire to grow in leadership capacity as the Company grows
• Experience with financial systems, consolidation systems such as BPC or Hyperion is a plus
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel. Basic knowledge in Word and Outlook as well as the ability and ability to optimize business technology tools to improve business processes
