A critical member of the marketing team, the Corporate Communications Manager is a newly defined position within Red Wing Shoe Company responsible for developing and delivering a strategic corporate communications plan that aligns key external constituents and internal audiences with corporate objectives. Importantly, as a newly defined role, this position will need to balance strategizing and thinking with hands-on execution; our commitment to developing this practice is well aligned and the practice will only grow over time.

• Internal Communications – Manage, author and distribute all critical company-wide internal communications, ensuring consistency in message, tone/voice and alignment to key strategies and growth plans
• Executive Leadership Support – Provide executive leadership communications support across the senior leadership team, with specific focus on the company’s CEO, to author and support the execution of all critical communication requirements inclusive of interviews, speeches, company-wide meetings and other leadership-oriented communication opportunities
• External Corporate Communications – Working with external public relations counsel, proactively plan and reactively manage third-party corporate media/press, inclusive of the definition and management of a to-be-defined media relations web portal
• Brand Public Relations Support – Liaise with all brand-specific public relations teams and external resources to ensure continuity of message and the deployment of common measurement standards, performance indicators, and planning processes; leverage third-party software platform for enterprise-wide consistency
• Social Responsibility – Support the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts that appropriately illuminates our charitable contributions to any of the communities that benefit – from Red Wing, MN and beyond
• Corporate Archives – Drive appropriate management, leverage and use of our Corporate Archives as a key company-wide asset that provides for brand differentiation and corporate pride

• Obtain necessary information by maintaining knowledge of RWSC’s electronic communication software.
• Maintain quality service by establishing, following, and enforcing organization quality system standards.
• Uphold Red Wing Shoe Company’s core values and ensure that brand values and premium service is delivered across all channels
• Drive the utilization of technology and innovation throughout the company
• Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, classes or programs.

Internal: Executive Leadership Team; All Business Units (North America Work, Global Outfitters, Heritage and Vasque); Enterprise-wide Centers of Excellence, including but not limited to Marketing, Product Management and Merchandising, Customer Experience/Service, Human Resources, Business Technology
External: Consumers, Marketing Services Firms/Contractors (Advertising and Digital Agencies, Public Relations Firms, Sales Agents, etc.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related area of study. 7+ years of communications leadership experience required.

• Previous experience with a high-degree of success working in a highly matrix’d business environment
