We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst/Product Owner- Contract to Hire to be responsible for analyzing, solutioning, documenting and validating the complex business needs of systems owners and project stakeholders. This includes working as a member of an Agile team to help them plan and develop business applications. This position will help support our Application Development teams as the create business systems and applications. They will with ERP software, homegrown applications and purchased software as needed. They will also work with BSAs, Product Managers and customers to make sure the work being performed will fulfill the business needs. We are looking for an individual who is exceptional at problem solving, has excellent SQL skills and has good judgement. We value exceptional attitude and someone with the ability to come up to speed quickly.

The position requires three critical abilities:
• Business Analysis skills including complex requirements analysis, functional design, data analysis and software implementation skills, including the ability to understand relationships between multiple systems and document them in an understandable and concise way.
• Strong technical skills, including the ability to understand database structures and data queries in order to create data mappings for system interfaces, ad hoc reports. These skills will be needed to research impacts of business processes on the underlying data.
• Strong analytical, leadership and communication skills required, including the ability to effectively interpret customer business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

• Help App Dev teams develop solutions that meet customer needs.
• Support implementation of the finished solutions
• Help prioritize work being performed.
• Help establish acceptance criteria and aggrees it has been met.
• Monitor the status of Features and stories, assure that business objectives are met
• Articulate functionality of systems to business and IT teams at various levels

Technical Analysis
• Analyze business requirements and translate them to data, reporting or application requirements
• Create and modify data mapping templates using SQL, DB2 or other appropriate tools.
• Create ad hoc queries as needed by the business to help resolve issues.
• Research data discrepancies and debug technical problems.

Business Analysis
• Lead, schedule, coordinate, and facilitate stakeholder requirements gathering sessions
• Translate business needs into clear requirements that will enable the design of flexible solutions to enable business strategies and align with IT architecture direction

• Create and maintain requirements traceability
• Debug data issues between systems
• Problem solve application issues and facilitate user acceptance testing
• Work closely with quality assurance to develop testing plan and use cases
• Provide inputs to testing plans for product and user acceptance test phases and create test scenarios for both phases
• Validate data and application results that use data from mapped requirements.

• Train key users on system functionality.
• Create end user training/reference documents when needed
• Gather, document and analyze business requirements from clients and stakeholders
• Develop use cases, business flows or functional specifications from requirements & functionality requests
• Analyze business processes and systems, identify inefficiencies and/or required functional enhancements, and document business processes and procedures
• Obtain approval and business sign-off on requirements

• Exhibits knowledge and research ability to incorporate emerging industry and technology practices when solving business problems.
• Obtain necessary information by maintaining knowledge of RWSC and supporting Company’s electronic communication software.
• Maintain quality service by establishing, following, and enforcing organization quality system standards.
• Uphold Red Wing Shoe Company’s core values.
• Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager.
• Maintain technical and business knowledge by attending educational workshops, classes or programs.
• Conduct self according to RWSC policies/Handbook.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, Math or related technical or analytical field from four-year college or university and three to five years related experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Project management skills, Leadership development, sound knowledge of software applications, in-depth knowledge of business practices in supported functions and systems analysis and design skills. Proven experience in design, development and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.

• Prior experience as a Programmer/Analyst or Data analyst helpful
• Strong customer service, team and collaboration orientation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Manage multiple projects and assignments.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.

• Occasional travel

• Some telecommuting when appropriate and effective
