Position Title Order Processing and Freight Manager (Luke's Organic)

Description Fast growing snack food company is looking for a qualified individual to manage and lead the order processing team. This individual will perform a variety of customer service, order processing and logistic functions related to order fulfillment that contribute to the efficient, safe and profitable operation of the business. They will use available resources to ensure orders are filled on time and in full. They will coordinate activities and cooperate with other departments to best serve the needs of the customer and co-workers.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Manage process flow from receiving orders, processing orders, and fulfilling orders in a timely manner.
  • Supervise the team to ensure daily tasks are completed on time and accurately.
  • Code purchase orders timely and accurately and update shipping schedule.
  • Prepare invoices for domestic and international customers.
  • Ensure partnership with the warehouse to track orders as needed.
  • Communicate all freight charges and status of shipments.
  • Maintain record of all shipments both inbound and outbound.
  • Follow Luke’s Organic guidelines for processing all transactional procedures.
  • Take a proactive approach to inventory control by assisting and/or reporting discrepancies.
  • Ensure customers receive the correct orders with correct pricing in a timely manner through utilization of Luke’s Organic procedures.
  • Proactively study and stay current on industry and product information.
  • Verify sales information in accounting system.
  • Code purchase orders timely and accurately and update shipping schedule.
  • Prepare invoices for domestic and international customers.
  • Ensure partnership with the warehouse to track orders as needed.
  • Generate weekly incoming order report.
  • File necessary paperwork.
  • Answer all vendor inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Develop dynamic training materials and train on order processes.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Work with 3pl providers to deliver goods on time.
  • Optimize freight costs by evaluating carriers on time deliveries and deductions.

  • Requirements
    • Industry experience in logistics, order processing and customer care.
    • Strong computer skills. Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to interact and partner with team members at all levels in the organization and externally.
    • Strong knowledge of Accounting and FTL / LTL providers.
    • Previous management experience required.
    • Ability to effectively present information clearly and demonstrate concepts or processes.
    • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be detail oriented, results-oriented and be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
