Position Title Accountant (R.D Offutt Company)

Description

This individual will work  for our accounting department. They will maintain flexibility while working with many tasks. They must have knowledge of accounting processes and be willing to learn new things in a fast and timely manner. 

 

 Specific Duties Include:

  • Prepare and enter adjusting and monthly journal entries.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Gain a working knowledge and a solid understanding of the operating system.
  • Maintain good communication with the accounting personnel.
  • Work independently and with team members to create logical and effective solutions to job related situations.
  • Represent and promote R. D. Offutt Company and fellow employees in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Display a commitment to doing things right the first time, pay attention to detail.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Use and maintain Company facilities and equipment in a professional and safe manner.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn.
  • Follow all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Represent R.D. Offutt Company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager and assist other department personnel to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Attend required company meetings and participates in constructive discussion.
  • Participate in any and all appropriate trainings.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers so as to present a professional image of the R.D. Offutt Company. 
Requirements
  • Accounting degree (preferred).
  • Detail oriented.
  • Motivated self-starter.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must have a valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
