Position Title ERP Solutions/Systems Analyst

Description The IT Solutions Analyst is responsible for IT solutions delivery for enterprise processes including planning, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise ERP systems.

Specific Duties Include:
  • Investigates, proposes and evaluates solutions.
  • Assists in supporting business architecture (business models and process architectures).
  • Provides analytical and conceptual direction throughout the change lifecycle, ensuring alignment and integrity of deliverables with the program and business objectives.
  • Provides recommendations to preserve the integrity of business processes across various changes to ensure the delivery of holistic integrated solutions.
  • Participates in the identification of design and technical architectures to support business architecture and the businesses strategic intent.
  • Takes part in Business Unit Strategic Planning Sessions
  • Manages activities relative to BU IT Roadmap including application portfolio management, disaster recovery requirements, and availability and fail-over capability of systems. Stays abreast of operational performance and impact to business.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with process owners and super users.
  • Provides input into IT Strategic Roadmap, representing supported business unit.
  • Manages the demand queue set partners’ expectation on deliverables.
  • Supports the development of business cases requiring IT-based solutions.
  • Interfaces with vendors to understand whether their products will meet business and technical requirements.
  • Manages relationship with existing technology vendors. Utilizes relationship to problem solve and manage the enhancement request process.
  • Maintains knowledge of multiple business functions and initiatives to identify where conflicts/synergies exist between technology and business functions.
  • Maintains up-to-date awareness of the current and future directions of the industry and associated technologies, and, where appropriate, makes recommendations for implementation of new/upgraded systems and technologies.
  • Identifies and mitigates potential problems and conflicts with IT solution delivery.
  • Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
  • Validates results by testing programs.
  • Ensures operation by training client personnel; providing support.
  • Collaborate with IT Team and vendors to deliver new systems
  • Ensures knowledge content is created and curated for IT solutions.
  • Assesses business process and system inefficiencies.
  • Supports system conversions, upgrades, enhancements
  • Stays abreast of industry and technology trends to provide advice on strategic business and technology solutions.
  • Performs IBM System “i” software installation and configuration
  • Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, such as backups
  • Install, upgrade, configure, test and maintain the CDK business system
  • Create and maintain system programs that interact with the CDK business system
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Company and RDO Equipment Co.
  • Responsible for ensuring that sound and safe business practices and processes are implemented and continuously improved to effectively and efficiently achieve ethical business objectives.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering.
  • At least 3 years’ of IT experience, including business analysis and quality assurance.
  • Understanding of information technology and business concepts.
  • Broad IT domain experience.
  • Previous experience supporting an ERP system. Preferably GP Dynamics and/or CDK Global Heavy Equipment
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with general business functions.
  • Problem solving and communications skills.
