Description POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for providing support and knowledge to lead his team in the areas of electrical controls and system automation. This position leads and manages the electrical and programming controls for projects by creating designs and drawings while providing calculations for new and existing products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and manage a team by training, developing and coaching employees on a consistent basis
• Issue bill of material and drawings on time, to issue projects drawings on IP products and bill of material on time to meet contract requirements.
• Approval of drawings, calculations, components used within the sections.
• Ensure that internal processes/procedures/ guidelines are followed by the team.
• Provide support to the sections to improve quality of design on electrical components used, methods of programming in PLC.
• Coordinate complete design within agreed budgeted man hours, within the team.
• Coordinate class approval and discussions, related to electrical clarifications.
• Involved in client discussions and meetings related to design when it will be required.
• Motivate and be a part of a team so each employee can improve his experience and knowledge on design/ programming methods whenever necessary.
• Be involved in a team that will implement Data Management system (Vault SQL database) that is to improve control, release and approval of IP products within the Engineering department.
• Support technical sales support team during high peak of quotations received also related to new type of quoted products and concepts and improved design on existing IP products.
• Support standardization processes by helping on electrical/ PLC part of IP products.
• Develop P&ID protocols/ logic charts and modular design of programs on IP Products.
• All others duties as assigned by management
Requirements QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Master of Science or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in calculations, design in Marine and Offshore Industry.
• 2+ years of experience in Marine and Offshore operation environment.
• Knowledge in CAD system and Microsoft Office, FEM software like Ansys, 3D modelling tools like Solidworks and Inventors, Knowledge of ERP system.
• Advanced computer skills and software skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and other system drawings.
• Excellent mathematical and measurement computation skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Occasional Overseas and Offshore Travel required
• Prolonged sitting.
• Frequent standing and walking.
• Some lifting, bending, kneeling and climbing.

JOB SCOPE/SUPERVISION
• Reports directly to the Director of Engineering
• This position will manage directly the following:
o Senior Electrical Designer (1)
o Hydraulic Designer (1)
o Electrical Field Service Technician (2)
