Description General Description:
The Academic Achievement Instructional Learning Cycle Coach (ILC Coach) is responsible for providing services to The Leona Group’s Midwest schools in order to provide quality support to support increasing academic achievement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide academic support to the midwest schools to increase student achievement.
Develop systems of Instructional Learning Cycles with coaches and teachers; use data to teach, assess, analyze, re-teach, re-assess, and reflect to successfully implement each academy's chosen curriculum.
Facilitates teachers’ understanding and implementation of the Common Core State Standards and the Instructional Learning Cycle through intentional professional development and collaborative working sessions.
Creates detailed professional development plans with the school leadership team which drives the Instructional Learning Cycle.
Provides clear and direct feedback to leadership teams and the teachers based on analysis of practice during and after the Instructional Learning Cycle.
Develops both the instructional coaches and the teachers’ capacity to collect and analyze multiple sources of data to improve student learning.
Provide leadership teams, instructional coaches, and teachers with research-based resources that support best instructional practices and are aligned to the Common Core State Standards.
Work with instructional coaches and grade level teams to support common instructional practices, common assessments, and alignment.
Fosters collaboration with all stakeholders and teacher leadership.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work independently and as a team member to accomplish tasks.
Ability to produce accurate work with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to follow through on successful completion of tasks.
Strong verbal communications skills as acquired through a high school education or higher level of education and/or training, necessary to create and train others to follow department procedures and policies. Basic experience making professional presentations to small or large groups.
Ability to communicate clearly, largely by phone and email.
Ability to manage many tasks concurrently.
Moderate to high proficiency with basic computer applications including internet, professional development presentation software, Google Classroom, word processing, database and spreadsheet tools, and Weebly web design software. Proficiency as acquired through education, training, and prior work experience in the professional development service field.
Willingness to learn about 21st century learning, best practices to increase student academic performance in the field of education, current school improvement initiatives and the state’s accountability measure in order to provide quality service for school leaders, academic coaches and teachers.
