Type of Position: Full time, Non-Exempt, 40 hours per week

General Description:
The Continuous Improvement Coach is responsible for providing support to schools in the Midwest in order to increase academic achievement of students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide academic support to the Midwest schools to increase student achievement.
Develops protocols that will be used to drive the collection, analysis, and monitoring of student assessment data (state, benchmark, and local) in order to improve teaching and learning in each academy through the school improvement processes.
Works with school leaders, instructional coaches, data coaches, and teachers to support school efforts to build capacity in the understanding and uses of multiple sources of assessment data in the school improvement cycle (including the development of a comprehensive needs assessment) to improve student learning.
Participates on school data teams in order to ensure that quality data techniques are utilized in the collection and analysis of student data.
Provides professional development to both school leadership teams and teachers on the tracking of curriculum standards in order to identify specific learning gaps in standards mastery.
Assumes leadership role in the development and maintenance of tools that will be utilized in the reporting of student achievement and growth (including state reporting and parent communications).
Assists school leaders, instructional coaches, and data coaches in producing student data relating to assessment data and the tracking of students.
Attends and participates relevant professional development opportunities that are related to assessment and accountability, including new developments in data analysis and performance expectations.
Maintains confidentiality at all times in respect of school related matters and prevent disclosure of confidential, sensitive information in line with data protection legislation.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong instructional skills and familiarity with the school improvement process, as acquired through 5 years prior teaching experience or equivalent combination of training and experience; prior experience in an instructional coaching capacity also preferred.
Ability to work independently and as a team member to accomplish tasks.
Ability to produce accurate work with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to follow through on successful completion of tasks.
Strong verbal communications skills as acquired through a high school education or higher level of education and/or training, necessary to create and train others to follow department procedures and policies. Basic experience making professional presentations to small or large groups.
Ability to communicate clearly, largely by phone and email.
Ability to manage many tasks concurrently.
Moderate to high proficiency with basic computer applications including internet, word processing, database and spreadsheet tools, and Weebly web design software. Proficiency as acquired through education, training, and prior work experience in a clerical or administrative support capacity.
