Description General Description:
This position will be responsible for arranging the shipment and distribution of seafood products both domestically and internationally. Handles senior level traffic/logistic job duties related to the shipment of seafood products. Works closely with internal sales department, customers, brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of goods to the market place. Responsible for negotiating rates, terms and conditions included in service agreements with external vendors, entering and processing orders and completing all necessary documentation related to sales and shipment. Position reports to the Traffic Manager and is exempt from overtime.

Responsibilities:
• Arranges and coordinates shipments of frozen, fresh and canned seafood products, both domestically and internationally, with an emphasis on international exports.
• Works with customers, brokers and freight forwarders to establish shipping schedules, arrange shipments and prepare necessary documentation.
• Participates in rate negotiations, terms and conditions of freight service agreements with carriers.
• Enters and processes orders, completing all necessary documentation and paperwork related to sales and shipments. Audits and approves freight bills.
• Works within the Icicle organization to assist and resolve administrative discrepancies related to sales orders and freight invoices.
• Provides logistical support for Icicle’s operations group such as equipment allocation and cargo destination.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Qualifications and Requirements:
• A minimum of 6 years of senior level export experience.
• Working knowledge of FDA, USDC and international regulations to ensure compliance with all international export requirements.
• Able to work independently within a fast paced environment.
• Familiar with all modes of transportation, including surface and air.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong math and accounting skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
• Seafood experience preferred.
• Must be available to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as necessary.
• Prompt regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

o Professionally and diplomatically with a wide range of people while under pressure.
o Effectively with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.

Work Schedule:
• This position is based in the corporate office which is located in Seattle, Washington and will require prompt and reliable attendance into the office during core business hours as face time in the office is a key company value. This position will also require extended hours (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.) in order to meet business needs.

Salary:
• Competitive; depends on experience.
