Position Summary

Hawaiian Airlines is looking for a Director of Consumer and Content Marketing to lead all owned media channels, including email, direct mail, social media, web content, and creative production for North American, International, and Hawaiian audiences. The ideal candidate will have a broad marketing background able to lead multiple teams, set strategic direction, and execute complex multi-channel campaigns while also managing a creative process and delivering excellent content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and execute consumer marketing efforts, including strategy development, creative design, execution and analysis across all owned channels including email, direct mail, social and web content
  • Determine and fulfill all content marketing needs, including cross-channel content governance, content calendar, talent acquisition and management, contract management, and asset management
  • Direct and oversee contract creative, including management of in-house resources (graphic design and copywriting), agencies and independent contractors
  • Manage and oversee remote resources to ensure proper localization and execution in international markets
  • Manage external vendors for fulfillment of email, direct mail, social and web placements to ensure quality of work, return on investment, and timeliness to market
  • Deliver growth in direct-booking revenues driven from owned channels at increased efficiency of spend within allocated budgets
  • Partner with leadership team to manage and prioritize work requests and deliver on programs that drive business results for their areas
  • Identify and lead consumer marketing initiatives that will drive engagement, process improvements and completion of projects
  • Continuously test and learn to improve effectiveness and increase the personalization of campaigns
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 7+ years of professional work experience in direct marketing, content marketing or related
  • Experience managing P&L or department budget
  • 7+ years managing people (preferably teams)
  • 3+ years experience with content production, directly or with an agency
  • Prior management of, or leadership within, an email/social marketing team
  • Ability to develop effective marketing strategies and analyze data to understand and improve overall performance
  • Ability to prioritize initiatives across competing initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead and to innovate
  • Excellent design and copywriting skills
  • Experience successfully implementing change and managing complex technical projects
  • Ability to manage creative teams, vendor and agency relationships
  • Ability to present, persuade and defend in executive settings
  • Understanding of, and sensitivity to, the Hawaiian Airlines brand
