Description

This position is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Training Division. Duties include maintaining all training records, updates the HRIS system as needed with training renewals, certifications and completions, prepares all correspondence and training certificates for distribution, creates reports, updates all training manuals and files as needed. Assists the training staff during training sessions ensuring accurate completion of all paperwork, schedules classes based off availability, creates and distributes the monthly training calendar, assists with new hire orientation by assembling employee handbooks, photographing new hires and uploading to the HRIS system. Also delivers entry to mid-level training classes, ensures all casino employees have successfully completed mandatory Title 31 and SARC trainings and performs audits and updates the HRIS system. Assists with preparation of purchase requests, ordering of training materials as needed and communicates with department managers when employees fail to attend their required training. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager. Starting is $20.02/hr.

Requirements

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Associate's Degree from a two year college or technical school with business or communication courses is required

Experience & Requirements:

  • Must have two years experience providing support in a training environment
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Previous experience with delivering presentations or trainings is required
  • Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit and have good hand and finger dexterity
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Upon offer must obtain a Class IIIA Gaming License ($273 - 335)
  • Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
