Description

Responsible for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner to order. Assists with prep work, handles routine daily cleaning, trains new line staff and assists with scheduling. Contributes to casino’s high standards of superior guest service. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager. Starting pay is $17.24/hr.

Requirements

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Culinary training preferred

Experience & Requirements:

  • Three years experience in line cooking for a dinner house is required
  • Must have experience in grilling, broiling, sautéing, and steaming
  • Experience in training of staff (preferred)
  • Must be fast and capable of working on as many as 30 orders at a time with the ability to coordinate cooking times with co-workers
  • Must have valid Washington State food handler’s card

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours
  • The ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis
  • Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Upon offer must obtain Class IIIB Gaming License ($155 - 200)
  • Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
