This position is responsible for managing and identifying risk exposures for the casino through insurance, contract review and negotiation, litigation management and strategic planning. Duties include identifying risk exposure by performing ongoing review if casino operations as to frequency and potential severity of risk, making recommendations to mitigate identified such risks, review, purchase and update casino property & casualty insurance policies, management of all insurance claims excluding workers compensation. Additional duties include provisions of vendor contracts, investigate incidents that may result in asset loss, review, analyze and distribute claims data to management and actively participate on committees related to risk management and quality improvement. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager. 




  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management of related field is required

Experience & Requirements:

  • Seven years experience in Risk Management or commercial insurance is required
  • Casino or hospitality experience (preferred)
  • Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must have good manual and hand dexterity
  • Must have the mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis
  • Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Upon offer must obtain Class IIIA Gaming License ($273-355)
  • Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
