PURPOSE

This position will be responsible for management of all aspects of advertising, public relations, media planning and buying, creative development, and execution. This position is responsible for promoting the Snoqualmie Casino brand, managing all off-site events, coordinating PR efforts and managing the social media programming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversight of media placement & procurement (including television, radio, print, social media) and public relations strategies.
  • Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, newsletter content, social media content and speaking proposals.
  • Identify, develop and execute the communications strategy for key media contacts and advertising outlets.
  • Determine the best use of media across all platforms, including print, broadcast, digital, etc.
  • Manages the “voice” of Snoqualmie Casino via social media platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and WeChat
  • Establish metrics to determine and manage the cost benefits and return on investment across mediums.
  • Manage and track expenditures, accruals, reporting and invoicing.
  • Internal coordination of all marketing deliverables.
  • Responsible for coordinating off-site events as directed.
  • Oversee outside vendors, when applicable.
  • Monitors and maintains “Casino Reputation and Secret Shopper” reports, and recommends appropriate responses.
  • Partners with the entertainment, food and beverage, promotions, and casino operations teams to produce compelling, revenue and brand enhancing messaging
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

  • Four (4) year degree in Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or other relevant area of study.
  • Five (5) years’ combined experience in PR, Advertising and Social Media, with two (2) years’ experience in advertising procurement with a 2M+ budget.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current trends in social networking and social media.
  • Strong knowledge of both visual design and advertising/PR communications principles.
  • The ability to develop comprehensive programs, from identifying objectives to budgeting and measuring results.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to self-start and self-manage on projects. Proven record of on-time, high-quality deliverables.

PREFERRED

Education and Experience:

  • Agency or freelancing experience
  • Familiarity with the Seattle advertising market

  • Concept/copywriting skills
