PURPOSE

Assist in the daily operations of the Training and Development Department. Coordinates, and implements Training Programs, Data Entry, and filing, preparing and Scheduling Training opportunities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and implement aspects of Training Programs (i.e. preparation and scheduling).
  • Assist with the tracking of training requirements within all departments and required certifications for the company, including Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness Classes.
  • Assist with the development and organization of training manuals, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
  • Facilitating new hire orientation and other training for hourly Team Members.
  • Administer tools such as Aptitude Tests, and self-inventories to aid in Team Members identifying interests and skills. 
  • Responsible for Team Members communications and communication forms, including but not limited to: Team Members newsletter, intranet announcements and bulletin boards.
  • Assist in the administering and tracking of the Tuition Reimbursement Program.
  • Serves as a role model for organization.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
 
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
  • Two (2) years of professional training and/or facilitating experience in a similarly sized organization. Emphasis on the Casino, Gaming, Entertainment, Hospitality Industries or other related industries.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to assess learning capabilities, develop training strategies, track desired training objectives and results.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with a variety of participants.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Intermediate computer skills required with proven proficiency in MS Office programs and database administration.
  • Must be a self-starter.
 
PREFERRED
 
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree.
  • Human Resources background.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Certification in Training Instruction “Train the Trainer,” or from a National Program Training Association.
  • Knowledge of a secondary language, such as Chinese Mandarin or Spanish.

 

Snoqualmie Casino exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). Pre-Employment Drug Testing is required for all positions and you must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission.
