If you can compete at this level, then our Company is for you! We are looking for a Cash Applications Specialist to join our team at the Houston Support Center located in the Galleria! The Cash Application Analyst will primarily be responsible for the daily posting of incoming receipts and working with our businesses and third party vendors to ensure timeliness of posting to Accounts Receivable in an effort to support the growth of the business and Carriage’s overall mission. Apply cash daily for: • Payments received from lockbox • Daily for all electronic deposits (ACH and Wire) • Apply non-AR payments to the General Ledger • Generate and review daily, weekly, and or monthly preauthorized ACH debit files for submission to treasury • Resolve cash application issues presented by internal sources such as customer service and collections and communicate resolution to requestor • Assist accounting department to resolve discrepancies or un-reconciled deposit items • Investigate and resolve unapplied cash • Preparation of daily, weekly and or monthly cash receipts reports for management • Maintain organized files and proper documentation for audit and business inquiry purposes • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines • Identify processing exceptions that inhibit application efficiencies and recommend solutions • Utilize available internal and external software and hardware tools to maximize productivity while maintaining transaction integrity.
Requirements	• 2+ years of experience in Cash Application and/or Accounts Receivable • Associates degree in Accounting is a plus • Mid-size to large company experience with high volume transactions highly preferred • Strong Excel skills • Excellent keyboarding skills including 10-key
