Title Electronics Technician

As member of the Canadian Division the Electronics Technician will be responsible for maintaining and updating all equipment of their districts based out of their district’s shop.


- Work schedules may change according to operational requirements
- Shifts in satellite locations may apply if required
- Potential to work in extreme weather conditions and remote locations


Responsible to repair and maintain all Calfrac equipment including:

- Electrical and electronic systems
- Recording and controlling software
- Assist and support maintenance staff
- Provide updates and complete modification requests
- Perform preventive maintenance on a regular basis
- Identify problem areas
- Assist in making remedial action plans
- Assist in scheduling and costing repairs
- Maintain electrical and electronic parts inventory levels, which includes: Ordering of new electrical parts, Shipping and receiving of electrical parts out for repair, Training of maintenance and operations personnel on electrical systems and control software and hardware


- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- Ability to follow, and enforce safe work procedures, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- A highly energetic, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with a high attention to detail
- Proven ability to adapt to a variety of environmental factors and extreme weather conditions while performing operational requirements
- Works and inspires others to work at high performance levels
- Work under physically demanding circumstances
- Ability to write reports and work close with maintenance administration personnel
- Experience making immediate decisions, while maintaining composure, in high pressure situations with minimal supervision
- Ability to operate process control equipment
- Must be mechanically inclined


- Finished Electronics and/or Instrumentation schooling by a recognized institution
- Good understanding and experience with basic hydraulic systems
- Experienced with electric over hydraulic / air and PLC is considered an asset
- Oil and gas experience is a considered an asset
- Valid class 5 driver’s license – Drivers abstract must be provided
- Experience working in or an understanding of oilfield services is considered an asset
- Minimum Grade 12 Education
- H2S Alive, First Aid, fall protection training would be considered an asset but is not required
