Description Job Summary: (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned):

The Billing Manager is responsible for leading a support team and working with numerous utilities and business functions to ensure all of our customers are enrolled and billed correctly.

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage any rates required with the Rate Ready utilities
• Ensure all Bill Ready customer invoices are accurate and released within the required billing window
• Manage the production and release of all Retailer consolidated bills to ensure a high degree of accuracy and timeliness is maintained at all times
• Track and resolve all EDI and utility billing issues in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction
• Work closely with the customer support team to ensure any billing issues are addressed promptly
• Manage all of the customer renewals to ensure all of the market requirements are met quickly and efficiently
• Develop and update all of the customer enrollment, billing and renewal processes
• Work closely with the accounting group to ensure they receive all the required remittances and invoices they need to generate the financial statements
• Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that increase our efficiency, positively impact revenue and improve customer retention rates
• Prepare weekly billing reports; analyze and organize data to submit to management
• Regularly communicate and coordinate with numerous internal departments
Requirements • At least 3-4 years of retail electricity billing experience. Having natural gas billing experience would be a plus.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with at least one of the large retail billing platforms like iSigma, EC Infosystems, ista/xchange (Aurea Energy Solutions).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and decision making skills.
• Ability to balance multiple high priority projects with tight timelines.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
• Technical Computer skill set.
• Ability to think outside the box and be an agent for process improvement.
• Strong decision making and analytical abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication/listening skills.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in finance, business, mathematics, accounting, or equivalent work experience
