Description The regional sales director position includes 1) development and implementation of sales strategies for an assigned region for public retail customers, 2) ensure internal and GLO contract compliance for opportunities in North Texas, and 3) increased awareness and expansion of public retail relationships for the GLO product line. The position is self-motivated and accountable for building and maintenance of a productive relationships with regional public retail customers on behalf of the GLO, value expansion of the program for its participants, and regional sales coverage (development of opportunities and overall account management). For regional sales, the sales director will establish regional/segment sales goals, conduct pipeline management and customer interactions. The position is accountable for attainment of sales goals, complete understanding of products, and coordination of account management. The position interfaces with GLO, Cavallo, Champion Energy Services and Calpine Executive management, legal, supply, risk management, and operations to ensure customer satisfaction and goal attainment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Drive company growth with effective sales coverage and goal attainment.
• Market retail energy and services to governmental clients (Public Retail Customers) to increase profitable share in the ERCOT market.
• Ensure profitability of GLO commitments throughout the term – monitor customer service issues, accounts receivable, product expansion, etc.
• Ability to develop relationships with key decision makers within Public Retail Customers and inspire customer to select the GLO’s products.
• Ability to make effective and professional public presentations to City Councils, School Boards, County Commissioners Courts, etc.
• Drive business development and product innovation. Offer suggested product expansion, contract changes for management/legal/GLO consideration as the market evolves.
Requirements - Business Management and Sales Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of electricity and/or gas sales experience required
- Experience in public/government segments
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
 Ability to position GLO to engender trust and create lasting relationships with public entities
 Manage new customer contacts, RFP responses, and final contracts to produce profitable results and increase GLO market share
 Maintain high awareness of the competitive environment, electricity marketing trends, and current pricing strategies and utility tariffs.
 Relationship development at multiple levels within the customer organization
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
 Four year college degree with a preference for degrees in business, economics or engineering
