Description Responsible for identifying, analyzing and resolving tax issues and their financial impacts on a wide range of transactions and global business initiatives. Assists with defining and implementing the company's global tax strategies and maintaining its global tax architecture. Responsible for the calculations of consolidated worldwide annual and quarterly tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. As well as prepare tax footnote disclosures in accordance with ASC 740 for parent and standalone subsidiaries financial statements. Ability to analyze major income tax accounts and prepare monthly reconciliation of subsidiary accounts to general ledger. Will work with the Director of Indirect Tax to assist the Vice President of Tax on strategic tax planning initiatives. Responsible for managing and directing activities regarding income tax research, planning, and compliance required of the organization. Works to optimize the tax obligation of the organization. Ensures that all appropriate income tax returns and payments are filed in timely manner and in compliance with all federal, state, local, and/or foreign tax regulations. Responsible for managing all income tax audits.

* Manages a major department or multiple departments with an operational and strategic focus.
* Experience with tax provision software implementation.
* Manages activities representing multiple functions/products/locations through first and second level management, including full human resources, cost and budgetary accountability.
* Thorough understanding of the Corporate Tax software system for income tax provision preparation in accordance with ASC 740.
* Decisions typically strategic in nature, focusing on long-term consequences and development and implementation of organization-wide projects, strategies and business ventures.
* Results have strategic impact and affect the functioning of major portions of the organization.
* As member of executive management team, establishes programs and policies; ensures integration of operational activities.
* Identifies and evaluates high-impact issues, and makes decisions regarding department(s) strategy and direction.
* Establishes overall strategy for department; makes final decisions on operational matters, implementation plans and department policies in alignment with division strategies.
* Works within broad objectives and ambiguity. Identifies and evaluates high-impact issues, and provides strategy and direction for the department.
* Manages all functions/ managers across the department(s) and exercises full supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staff.
* Responsible for department performance standards and metrics based on division objectives; develops department staffing plans and monitors results.
* Reviews and approves department reviews, pay actions and disciplinary activities
Requirements Master’s Degree in Business Taxation.
* Previous management experience. CPA preferred
* Typically requires minimum of 10+ years in area of specialization.
