Description Job Summary:

The Maintenance Scheduler/Planner must have the availability to work nights/weekends and off-hours call out. The Maintenance Scheduler/Planner will lead teams with various responsibilities, such as the development of maintenance processes and establishment of preventive maintenance procedures, bill of materials, corrective maintenance procedures, and purchasing of maintenance equipment and tools. The Maintenance Scheduler/Planner will also participate in budgeting/planning of all outages.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate for the Maintenance Scheduler/Planner position will be able to perform the duties noted below in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, codes, and regulatory requirements:

•Review work requests, visit job sites for clarification, and confer with work requestors.
•Determine scope of work, estimate the craft labor required, reserve all stock material required, and order all non-stock material for each work request.
•Inspect completed work for defects and compliance with specifications/regulatory requirements.
•Track work orders to completion and ensure order is closed with history documented.
•Develop standards for repetitive jobs.
•Develop historical job estimates.
•Review and track craft/crew backlogs.
•Prepare daily and weekly schedules.
•Keep work order information filed by equipment, manage maintenance server files.
•Develop preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
•Optimize preventive maintenance program.
•Interface proficiently with (CMMS) computerized maintenance management system.
•Provide technical expertise to ensure exceptional production.
•Track/update all equipment information including drawings, spare part lists, and manuals.
•Understand PeopleSoft. Understand the purchasing rules/policies. Prepare purchase requisitions.
•Track/update all WECC, NERC, FERC testing and policies, including PG&E interconnect contract.
•Oversee station and contract employees during the performance of work.
•Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies during off-hours.
•Interface and communicate well with vendors/contractors.
•Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance and plant operations.
•Administers maintenance program with particular emphasis on establishing work plan to effect operation/maintenance performance and efficiencies.
•Develops new processes, tools and services; develops new products, services or techniques.
•Advises management team in planning long and short-term business objectives and in developing new maintenance reports, standards, metrics and policies.
•Able to administer maintenance planning based on general plant and operations policies with little or no day-to-day direction.
•Advises management on best policies and practices for coordinating resources to achieve maintenance goal and regularly keeps management abreast on actionable solutions to planning issues.
•Collaborate and solve problems – works with others to resolve significant issues in the plant, clarifies or interprets complex information, provide initial screening/remediation.
•Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Requirements •Bachelor’s Degree and vocational/technical experience or degree from technical/vocational school. Education in maintenance, engineering-related field and High School Diploma,
•Generally requires 7 years’ experience in maintenance, power plant operations or equivalent.
•Strong mechanical aptitude
•Expert in department-specific software, databases, and spreadsheets; strong understanding of power maintenance/plant operations functions, administrative controls.
•Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment as well as mastery of maintenance and control operations functions necessary to administer maintenance.
