Description The Director, Retail Credit (DRC) is responsible for work product, project management, transaction analysis and approval. Responsible for the development of various credit and liquidity risk decision tools to measure prospective and existing customer potential exposure and expected loss. Designs, develops and prepares or supervises a variety of customized and ad hoc credit reports and tools in support of decision making. Additionally, will perform and/or supervise credit and industry analyses, system configuration and enhancements, assessing the credit and liquidity risks of commodity transactions, negotiating contracts, and developing retail analysis tools, and leading various projects. May also require customer thorough credit analyses including financial statement analysis and use of rating agency research and/or various scoring models as well as market data resulting in recommendations regarding counterparty approval or qualified approval. Collaborates with IT and other departments to identify, develop and implement systems efficiencies, reports, and tools to support department objectives and management decision making. For example, the development of systems capable of assessing retail exposure by industry, geography and customer segment or size.

• Manages activities through others, cost and budgetary accountability
• Decisions typically related to implementation of department strategy, intradepartmental coordination, and business outcomes.
• Results have significant impact on costs and achievement of department objectives.
• Identifies opportunities, which make a significant difference to the performance of multiple department functions and possibly organization-wide impact
• Makes decisions for large-scale projects, a closely related set of projects and/or initiatives.
• Establishes operational objectives for the credit function including work plans and delegating assignments to subordinate professionals.
• Works within broad guidelines; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems, which may have a long-term impact on the department.
• Manages the department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and employees.
• Responsible for performance reviews, promotional decisions, and pay actions
Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred with previous work leadership or senior level contributor experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience; a minimum of 10+ years of credit experience or other pertinent experience, with strong preference given to energy industry experience.
