Description Job Summary: (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned):

Responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare entries for general ledger accounts and documenting business transactions for assigned power plant business units. Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital. Helps to prepare balance sheets and profit & loss statements and other reports for project financed power plants.

Job Scope & Span of Control
• Assist in the creation of accounting records including general accounting and costing.
• Performs in fully-functioning capacity, equivalent to a journey level contributor.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries for general ledger accounts and document business transactions.
• Assist with G/L and monthly close, reporting and reconciliation.
• Applies advanced skills contributing to knowledge areas within function.
• Experienced professional with understanding of job, company and industry practices.

Decision Making & Impact
• Makes decisions regarding own work and makes recommendations regarding own function/discipline.
• Solves operational problems and associated technical issues; modifies existing tools, techniques or processes.
• Makes recommendations on moderately complex issues regarding project components and tasks.
• May make recommendations on new processes, tools and services; supports and contributes to development of new products, services or techniques.

Work Complexity
• Works on problems of diverse scope with moderate complexity.
• Uses independent judgment requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors. Collaborates with senior professionals in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach.

Self-Management & Leadership
• Limited instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
• Serves as project/technical lead on small to medium sized projects; may coordinate work of professionals within own department

Comm. & Influence
• Information sharing – gives and receives information such as options, technical direction, instruction and reporting results.
• Interact with power plant personnel to ensure plant financials are accurate.
Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting
• Requires 2-5 years’ experience in related field, CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft accounting software preferred.
• Industry experienced preferred.
