Description General Description
• Responsible for ensuring all standard accounts are billed in a timely and accurate manner with a specific focus on the accurate billing of taxes

Essential Job Functions (includes but is not limited to the following):
• Responsible for ensuring all taxes are billed in a timely and accurate manner through data analysis and applying customer contract terms.
• Respond to emails from various departments on tax related issues/requests
• Produce daily tax reports and apply all tax adjustments to customer accounts
• Monitor and update tax changes by market with help from third party vendor
• Update billing indexes and rates for all markets
• Ensure customers are billed in accordance with their contract
• Identify gaps in data process flow and react accordingly with emphasis on process improvement
• Provide support to sales departments, customer care, etc. through troubleshooting billing related issues and providing explanations to billing inquiries, escalating issues as necessary
• Ensure all usage is received timely and accurately.
• Follow processes to efficiently and effectively administer utility files and direct bills.
• Ensure bills are sent to outsource mailing company.
• Ensure customers are billed in accordance with their contract.
• Make adjustments to standard accounts as needed.
• Work billing alerts and exceptions.
• Provide support to sales departments, customer care, etc. through troubleshooting billing related issues and providing explanations to billing inquiries, escalating issues as necessary.
• Ensure quality control of bills being generated by system.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Ability to learn and quickly adapt to new software systems
Requirements Education & Experience:
• Minimum 1-2 years’ related work experience preferred.
• Experience in MS Office Suites, including Word and Excel
• Experience in Energy specific industry preferred
• Knowledge of REP, ERCOT and/or TDSP standards preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent degree required
