Description Director Power Operations IT, Security, and Telemetry is the Power Operations interface with Corporate applications, infrastructure and security groups for all Power Operations applications and infrastructure and is responsible for the delivery of all required plant telemetry and cyber and physical security to the fleet. The Director Power Operations effectively demonstrates strategic planning skills and excels in inter departmental relationship development and management. The Director leads the Power Operations telemetry and security teams in day-to-day activities required to plan, direct, and execute successful management of plant IT, security, and telemetry assets and systems and works closely with both the corporate infrastructure and application teams that support these assets and systems.

This role also ensures that the foundational systems and infrastructure necessary to core business functionality operate properly and integrate with core business processes. Additionally, this position collaborates with Power Ops business personnel to continuously improve processes, initiate and implements new methodologies, process and procedures that support company long, mid and short term goals; prepares, analyzes and reports plant system wide status to the senior management.

• Manages Director Power Operations IT, security, and telemetry with an operational and strategic focus
• Manages activities through first level management and professionals, including human resources, cost and budgetary accountability
• Decisions typically related to implementation of department strategy, intradepartmental coordination, and business outcomes.
• Results have significant impact on costs and achievement of department objectives.
• Identifies opportunities, which make a significant difference to the performance of multiple department functions and possibly organization-wide impact
• Makes decisions for large-scale projects, a closely related set of projects and/or initiatives involving multiple functional areas
• Establishes operational objectives for multiple functions including work plans and delegating assignments to subordinate managers and senior professionals.
• Works within broad guidelines; applies advanced technical knowledge of multiple functions to solve complex problems, which may have long-term impact on the department.
• Manages multiple functions within a department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and employees.
• Responsible for performance reviews, promotional decisions, and pay actions for top professionals and management.
Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred with previous work leadership or senior level contributor experience; a minimum of 15+ years in Information Technology and as a Project Manager, or an equivalent combination of education and /or experience.
• Requires 5+ years of experience in managing large scale IT enterprise systems.
• Requires 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure deployments/management
• Prior power energy industry is a plus.
