Description Job Summary: (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned):

Acts as CES’ liaison with assigned customers who have selected a managed portfolio approach for electricity commodity procurement. Works with Sales, Structuring, Portfolio Management, Contracts, Operations, Settlements, regulatory and Billing groups to 1) assure consistent, timely delivery of market and regulatory reports, 2) develop hedging strategies for/with CES’ Portfolio clients , 3) generate executable document requests to implement strategies, 4) support the sales team with key customer account services including report generation, contract management, and market update calls 5) provide analytical support to customers and management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess, summarize and monitor delivery of addenda (contract) requirements for group of customers on portfolio management services product
• Participate and in some cases, conduct Monthly/Quarterly market calls with customer’s to review their portfolio relative to market performance and provide insight into market trends
• Complete end-use load analysis across multiple markets for existing portfolio management services customers and qualified prospects
• Develop hedging strategies based on customer-specific loads, risk tolerance and portfolio goals; work with Sales, Structuring and Portfolio Management to support sales and implementation processes
• Will be responsible for new and incremental revenue generation as well as, protecting our revenues with those clients presently under contract.
• Create, maintain and distribute specific customer reports such as historical pricing trends on selected products for a larger group of key customers
• Present sales presentations to new and existing clients and manage sales process for managed products.
• Manage/operate Risk Management web enabled portal in concert with or on behalf of our Clients to assist in the development of budgets, risk tolerances and objectives, and effectuate the execution of these plans on behalf of the client
• The position is based in San Diego, CA; 50% travel will be required.
• Other duties will be developed as the organization and business develops in the future.
Requirements • Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, economics, finance or related field is required.
• MBA preferred.
• Experience developing and implementing complex commercial transactions is required
• Strong computer and MS Office proficiency; including Word and PowerPoint, with advanced user skill levels in Excel spreadsheet applications. S-Plus and/or Mat Lab experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and math skills
• Ability to complete and present technical evaluation of market trends
• Detailed knowledge of energy industry and unregulated retail energy commodity products and services offerings, energy marketing principles and terminology, utility/FERC tariffs, natural gas and power market dynamics, and local regulatory issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
• Must possess a strong will to win
• Strong organizational and leadership skills required
• Ability to coordinate effectively with and influence individuals throughout the organization
