The Recruiter sources, interviews, and screens applicants to locate qualified employees for job openings. S/he often travels to universities and colleges to interview promising students for employment or selects applicants from resumes that job seekers send to the company.

• Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers and regional leaders to understand staffing needs, programs, benefits, management structure, and advancement policies; advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
• Establish and maintain relationships with universities/colleges and other organizations to serve as the primary liaison to career services offices, department offices, campus groups and organizations, faculty, and students

• Build a pipeline of strong candidates by arranging job fairs and other recruitment events
• Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, cold calls, media, recruiting firms, and employee referrals
• Contact applicants to inform them of positions, consideration, and selection; inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, and benefits
• Screen and refer applicants to hiring managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate
• Arrange for interviews and provide travel arrangements as necessary
• Interview applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills
• Review and evaluate applicant qualifications or eligibility for specified licensing, according to established guidelines and designated licensing codes
• Hire applicants and authorize paperwork assigning them to positions
• Conduct reference and background checks on applicants
• Evaluate recruitment and selection criteria to ensure conformance to professional, statistical, and testing standards, recommending revision as needed
• Advise management on organizing, preparing, and implementing recruiting and retention programs
• Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act
• Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior

2) Minimum educational level:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

3) Experience required:

• 2-5 years’ experience in full-cycle recruiting
• Experience recruiting in a K-12 or higher education environment preferred
• Experience using an applicant tracking software, as well as CRM preferred
• Proven ability to lead recruitment function in a fast paced, customer centric environment
