Reports to: IM Project Portfolio Manager

Primary Functions: Performs project and portfolio unique support functions required to execute and maintain IT Project Portfolio Management and Program Management Office activities (PMO).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Generates and distributes project and portfolio status reports to various stakeholders and governance committees.
  2. Executes tasks to support the project selection and portfolio creation processes.
  3. Maintains and updates data in the portfolio and project management information systems.
  4. Assists the Project Portfolio Manager and IM Project Managers with the preparation of portfolio and project strategy documents.
  5. Supports the execution of portfolio management strategies by performing tasks within the portfolio risk, communications, resource, and change processes.
  6. Maintains and updates standardized project management processes, templates, and tools based upon direction from the Project Portfolio Manager and IT governance committees.
  7. Maintains the PMO’s knowledge management system comprised of project records, standards, methods, and lessons learned.
  8. Assists with the preparation and execution of PMO training activities designed to educate IT project leads, managers and credit union staff on project management processes and procedures.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results.
Requirements

Education: Associate’s degree in Project Management or related field with concentration in Project Management.

Creditable Experience: Equivalent project management training and/or work experience.

Experience/Abilities/Skills: A minimum of two years progressive experience performing project support duties for information technology projects (preferably in the financial industry). Experience working under the direction of a project or program management office is highly dersirable. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Strong collaborative skills with demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of information technology professionals and managers. Experience working in a financial institution is highly desirable.
